Program Agenda

5 Days Bootcamp on Data Visualization powered by Tableau

Timings : 5:30PM – 8:30PM IST

Mode of Training: Instructor-led (Online via Zoom)

Day-1: Understanding Data and getting Started with Tableau Day-2: Data Visualizations in Tableau Day-3: Getting Started with Mapping and Filtering Day-4: Creating Dashboard and Stories Day-5: Building a Business Use case story

To be eligible to enter the challenge, at the time of registration you must:

Be enrolled in a program at an accredited institution in India.(Applicable for Students)
Be working as an educator with an accredited academic institution in India
Be above the legal age of majority in the Jurisdiction where you reside.

The participant must produce a valid identity proof to confirm his current status as a Student/Educator.
Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate on any dispute at any time.

You must publicize your viz, dashboard and story to your Tableau Public profile no later than the end of the submission period.
Image/PDF copy of viz, dashboard and story shall be uploaded to the GitHub repository.
Demonstration video or link to video shall be made available in GitHub repository.
Limit One entry per one person, if multiple submissions are received per person, only the most recent submission will be considered.

Judging Criteria

Creativity (25 points) : Does the viz present insights in an interesting way?
Analytical Depth (25 points) : Is the data employed in a way to explore better?
Refinement & Design (25 points) : Is the visualization appealing, relevant and effective?
Story telling of submission (25 points) : Is the story around the visualization is clear, effective and relevant?

The Jury panel will evaluate and attribute a final score to each submission made up of scores of equal weight for each of the above listed criterion. The submission that receive the three highest overall scores from the panel will be selected as the winners.

Title	Predicting the energy output of wind turbine based on weather condition
Description	Wind energy plays an increasing role in the supply of energy world-wide. The energy output of a wind farm is highly dependent on the wind conditions present at its site. If the output can be predicted more accurately, energy suppliers can coordinate the collaborative production of different energy sources more efficiently to avoid costly overproduction.
Expected Solutions	Develop a time series model to Predict the power output of wind farm based on the weather condition in the site (1Hr prediction to 72Hrs. prediction) Build an application to recommend the Power Grid to suggest the best time to utilize the energy from wind farm
